The house

Cavendish is a visiting atelier, not a shop.

Founded in Mayfair in 2024 to give men across Britain the fit they would expect on Savile Row — without the geography, the waiting, or the theatre.

Why we exist

The British high street still alters trousers. It does so under strip lights, with a number ticket, in a lunch hour that is never long enough. The result is often a hem. Rarely a line.

Cavendish sends the workroom to you. Our fitters are drawn from London and regional houses — people who have stood beside a cutter, not behind a till. Pattern notes travel with the garment. The same pair of hands that pinned you is accountable for what comes back.

The registered office is 8 Ash Road, Chigwell IG7 4GH. The work happens on doorsteps from Penzance to Shetland — home visits across the entire UK, including London, Manchester, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Leeds and Bristol.

Standards

What we will always do

Pin on the body

Never on a dummy you are not. Shoes on. Shirt on. Walk, sit, reach.

Name the fitter

Photograph and DBS status sent the morning of the visit. No anonymous callers.

Say no early

If the cloth cannot reach the result, we decline before we take a fee.

Return pressed

Hung, sleeved, ready to wear. Not in a supermarket bag.

Keep a card

Your measures stay on file — quietly — for the next season.

Invoice cleanly

VAT receipts, purchase orders, and 30-day terms for houses that need them.
